Gold prices fell on Friday and were headed for a weekly loss.
Spot gold declined 0.4% to $4,103.23 per ounce, while US gold futures for August delivery dropped 0.7% to $4,113.70 per ounce.
Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.7% to $59.56 per ounce, platinum rose 0.4% to $1,616.72, and palladium gained 2.2% to $1,274.50 per ounce.
