Abu Dhabi, PureHealth hires 100 People of Determination into Care and Cover network

PureHealth has hired 100 People of Determination into roles across its Care & Cover network, creating career opportunities as part of its ongoing partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development (DCD). This achievement was made possible with the support of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s (DoH) and reflects its vision to build an intelligent, integrated and inclusive healthcare ecosystem where people come first.

This growing partnership is focused on widening access to employment and strengthening an inclusive healthcare workforce that contributes towards the nation's growth. This milestone was celebrated at a joint event, attended by His Excellency Engineer Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of DCD, Her Excellency Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the DoH, Shaista Asif, Group Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, alongside senior leaders from across the healthcare sector and colleagues from the PureHealth network, including many of the People of Determination.

His Excellency Eng Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, the Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development, said: “Seeing 100 People of Determination embark on meaningful careers across PureHealth’s integrated healthcare network reflects the success of effective collaboration between various entities in Abu Dhabi in advancing our wise leadership’s vision of building a society that enables every individual to participate, contribute, and realise their full potential.

This achievement also demonstrates the progress Abu Dhabi is making in embedding inclusion as a developmental approach that places people at the centre of policies, programmes, and services. ”

His Excellency Hamad Al Dhaheri added that social and economic empowerment are among the fundamental pillars for enhancing the quality of life of People of Determination and their families. Empowerment opens broader opportunities for independence, supports the achievement of personal and professional aspirations, strengthens their ability to plan for the future, and enables meaningful participation in society.

It also contributes to reinforcing family stability, in line with the objectives of the UAE Year of the Family, while promoting the role of People of Determination as active partners in the development journey. His Excellency Hamad Al Dhaheri affirmed that the Department of Community Development continues to work closely with its partners to translate the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Strategy for People of Determination into tangible outcomes and sustainable impact.

This is achieved by expanding opportunities for inclusion and empowerment across key sectors, enhancing the participation of People of Determination in economic and social life, and supporting the development of a more cohesive, prosperous, and sustainable society for all.

A public-private partnership under the DCD’s People of Determination Empowerment Plan, the collaboration supports Abu Dhabi’s long-term ambition to enable meaningful workforce participation for People of Determination and reinforces PureHealth’s role in advancing inclusive employment across the UAE healthcare sector.

It also contributes to the goals of the UAE Centennial Plan 2071 by fostering a more inclusive society that offers equal opportunities for all talent. Her Excellency Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said: “At the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, everything we do is driven by one purpose: improving lives.

Since the launch of the partnership, People of Determination have taken on a range of roles in departments including finance, marketing, human resources, operations and various clinical functions, across PureHealth’s entities including: SEHA, SEHA CLINICS, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, PureLab, Daman, PureCS, The Medical Office, Rafed, OneHealth, Tamouh and The Life Corner.

The partnership also aligns with PureHealth’s wider inclusion programmes, including the Empowering Abilities initiative, which focuses on accessibility, tailored training and long-term career development across the organisation.

In addition to strengthening talent development, widening access to employment opportunities for People of Determination and embedding inclusive practices across the UAE’s healthcare sector, PureHealth and DCD’s ongoing partnership will continue to develop innovative programmes across priority areas like research, policy development and social care services.
