Surf Abu Dhabi, developed by Modon Properties in collaboration with the Kelly Slater Wave Company (KSWC), is set to become a major part of the Emirate’s sporting infrastructure. This innovative destination is designed to cater to surfers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, and features the biggest man-made wave in the world. The facility offers a unique surfing experience, featuring the world’s longest ride, largest barrel, and highest man-made wave.
Surfing GOAT Kelly Slater Tests the Facility
Kelly Slater, regarded as the greatest surfer in history, attended an exclusive behind-closed-doors event to ride the first test wave at Surf Abu Dhabi. The event was held to test the facility and provide feedback to ensure that the wave quality will be optimized upon opening. Champion surfers, including Caroline Marks, Filipe Toledo, Stephanie Gilmore, Gabriel Medina, and Ramzi Boukhiam, also joined the epic surf session at Surf Abu Dhabi.
Collaboration with KSWC
Developed by Modon in collaboration with KSWC, Surf Abu Dhabi is designed to inspire and cater to surfers of all skill levels. KSWC’s contributions throughout each stage of the project have been instrumental in Surf Abu Dhabi being capable of hosting future major international surf competitions and accommodating professional surfers with perfect conditions to train or compete.
