Qasr Al Watan organizes immersive workshop on Emirati Sign Language

Qasr Al Watan collaborated with the Sign Language and Deaf Community, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and the Department of Culture and Tourism to organize a workshop on Emirati Sign Language. The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential Sign Language skills to communicate with hearing-impaired individuals.

The workshop commenced with an in-depth presentation on Emirati Sign Language, followed by an introduction to deaf culture and the history of sign languages. Instructors then delved into International Sign Language, demonstrating how communication extends beyond words through signing. Visitors were encouraged to ask questions and seek clarification during an open discussion.

Visitors were guided by dedicated tour guides through the various zones at Qasr Al Watan, where they had the opportunity to explore a vast collection of rare manuscripts. They witnessed the harmonious blend of modernity and history within the walls of Qasr Al Watan. The palace warmly welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 am to 17:45 pm.
