Be careful with traffic signs and road markings in Abu Dhabi

You can avoid Abu Dhabi traffic fines by paying attention to traffic signs and road markings when driving in Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Transport Authority has issued a strict warning for vehicles to enter the area reserved for public buses.

Dedicated lanes for public buses in Abu Dhabi are marked with road markings that read “Bus Only” or “Bus Lane”. You can also find entire bars marked in red, which also indicate bus bars. As a driver, if you accidentally get into the lane, you will be fined 400 AED in Abu Dhabi.

Parking at the bus stop
The Integrated Transport Authority (ITC) of Abu Dhabi has warned motorists about the dangers of parking at bus stops. Parking cars in these places, even for a short time, is dangerous for road users, because it makes it difficult for buses to stop on that route. Violation of this rule will result in a fine of AED 2,000.

Using bus stops to pick up or drop off passengers increases the risk of traffic accidents or causes delays in bus service.
