Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, has launched a post stamp entitled “UAE: The land of Tolerance and Coexistence” during the honouring ceremony of the Award’s winners, in its 14th session, on Monday.

The issuance of this stamp, which is a collaboration between the Award’s General Secretariat and the Emirates Post Group, reflects their efforts to support national initiatives in the service and development of the UAE.

Dr. Abdelouahhab Zaid, Award’s Secretary-General, said that this initiative came on the occasion of the 50th year anniversary of the UAE’s founding.

“The Award’s General Secretariat affirms its commitment to the concept of tolerance and coexistence, through the issuance of a post stamp showing the approach adopted by the UAE’s wise leadership, through using the date palm tree to symbolise tolerance and coexistence, thanks to its ability to adapt to various environmental conditions,” he added.
