Early bird tickets for the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) are now available with up to 40% off door prices. The event, which is the region’s largest pop culture festival, will take place in Abu Dhabi from 9-11 February 2024. The first celebrity guest has also been announced as American voice actor and musician Troy Baker. Registrations are also open for the Cosplay Competition.
Early bird tickets and event details
Abu Dhabi’s MEFCC, organized by Informa Connect in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, has released early bird tickets for its 12th edition. The event will take place from 9-11 February 2024 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), UAE. Fans can save up to 40% off door prices by purchasing early bird tickets.
Celebrity guest
Troy Baker, an American voice actor and musician, has been announced as the first celebrity guest for the 2024 edition of MEFCC. Baker is best known for his role as Joel in The Last of Us and has voiced characters in Final Fantasy XIII, Fortnite, and various anime titles including Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece, and Bleach.
Cosplay competition
Registrations for the Cosplay Competition are now open. Cosplayers can participate in one of four categories, including the ‘World Cosplay Summit Preliminaries’ with a chance to represent the UAE at the World Cosplay Summit finals in Nagoya, Japan. The competition will also include categories for ‘Best Craftsmanship’ and ‘Best Performance on Stage’, with a prize pool of AED 35,000 up for grabs.
