Everrati Unveils Luxury EV Conversion for Superyacht Owners
Luxury EV conversion specialist Everrati has revealed its latest bespoke creation, the Shore Tender, designed to transport superyacht owners on land after docking.
Collaboration with Renowned Superyacht Designers
The Shore Tender is a classic Land Rover Defender that has been extensively restored and converted into an all-electric off-roader. The conversion was carried out in collaboration with superyacht designers Bannenberg & Rowell, and superyacht specialist brokers Edmiston.
Customizable Luxury Amenities
The Shore Tender features a range of luxury amenities, including a sailcloth roof awning, reclaimed ocean plastic floor panels, removable doors and capstans for ease of storage in the tender garage. The vehicle also has a custom champagne chiller located in the hood bulge, picnic hampers, and storage for equipment and towels under the benches. The exterior paint can be customized to match the owner’s superyacht, and custom duffel bags made from sailcloth and embroidered with the yacht’s name can be included in the package.
Bespoke Electric Powertrain
Equipped with a bespoke electric powertrain and OEM-grade components, the Shore Tender has regenerative braking and AC and DC fast charging capabilities. Everrati did not disclose the power and energy storage figures or the price of the vehicle. However, a regular road-going Defender build starts from $225,000 (£185,000), according to the official website.
Revealed at Monaco Yacht Show
The Shore Tender is set to be revealed at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. Everrati claims that the vehicle can be recharged while being transported on the water. However, given that many superyachts are powered by diesel engines with high emissions, it is unclear how clean-air use in remote locations can be achieved through charging the vehicle on the ship.
