Abu Dhabi’s Radio Mirchi rebranded as Kadak FM

Abu Dhabi’s favourite radio station for the Hindi-speaking audience has been rebranded as Kadak FM w.e.f. July 5. The Abu Dhabi Media-run station dedicated to all things Bollywood will now add more original UAE-centric content, cricketing action and the best of Bollywood in its repertoire of programmes.

The Kadak FM will retain the same frequencies of Radio Mirchi – 97.3FM in Abu Dhabi, 95.6FM in Al Ain and 88.8FM in Dubai.

The Hindi word ‘Kadak’ denotes enthusiasm, vigour and fun and the station is repackaging their programmes to live up to the new name.

Station head Sandeep Sud in a statement released by Abu Dhabi Media said, “Our main focus through the new brand is to provide our audience with UAE centric content and the best of Bollywood. The offering will be underpinned by the 3Cs of entertainment – cinema, city and cricket – bringing the best of content, music, concerts and events to our listeners in the country.”

All the old favourite shows with the in-house RJs as well as new exciting programes under Kadak FM will keep the airwaves entertaining for the Radio Mirchi fans.
