Abu Dhabi Police opens Craft Product Exhibition at Al Wathba Prison
Directorate Punitive and Correctional Establishments (Al Wathba Section) had opened a permanent exhibition for inmates’ artisanal products and art works, located next to the Directorate building in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi.
This exhibition confirms Abu Dhabi police’s commitment to supporting and rehabilitating the inmates through adopting and polishing their talents and providing them with the necessary skills to integrate them into society.
The exhibition was held as an initiative of Abu Dhabi Police with the aim of highlighting the leading role of the correctional institutions in the rehabilitation of inmates, and its keenness to establish partnerships with the government and private sectors, in addition to highlighting the high level of creativity reached by inmates in terms of design and implementation.
The Directorate urged the public to buy inmates products with a 20% discount on a Fazaa card, and invited them to participate in supporting the Inmates creations, explaining that they offer a high level of craftmenship, pointing out that the exhibition contributes to introducing their role as artists who preserve the heritage.
