The 12th edition of the Yasalam After-Race Concerts, Abu Dhabi’s favourite music festival, brings a captivating calendar of world-class musical entertainment around the highly anticipated FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2021 from 9-12 December at Etihad Park. From rap to rock, there is something for everyone this year. 

The highly anticipated return of the Yasalam After-Race Concerts represents a landmark moment in Abu Dhabi’s reopening and recovery, as the first major, live music event since the start of the pandemic.

With a diverse line-up of musical talent, the weekend of world-class live entertainment and sport reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s standing as an international destination for world-class entertainment, culture, and leisure events with a commitment to the highest standards of health and safety.

With a thrilling weekend revving into view, here are the top reasons not to miss Yasalam After-Race Concerts 2021.

1. Four nights of AAA artists

Six-time Grammy Award-nominated artist Khalid will headline the opening Yasalam After-Race Concert on Thursday 9 December, followed by triple BRIT award-winning rap artist Stormzy on Friday 10 December, multi-platinum certified ‘Someone You Loved’ singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi on Saturday 11 December, and American rock legends Foo Fighters will bring the curtain down on the music extravaganza with a storming closing show on Sunday 12 December. 

2. Feel the thrill of live events again – at full capacity

Following a challenging 18 months for the world, the Yasalam After-Race Concerts 2021 marks the first major live music event, and the first event at Etihad Park (formerly du Arena) since the start of the pandemic. This is an opportunity not to be missed, a chance to feel the thrill of live events once again and celebrate with fellow music fans and petrol heads alike. Another reason to celebrate? The event will take place at full capacity, and with four days of AAA music on the cards, it promises to be a very special atmosphere inside the unique venue.

3. Enter the Golden Circle 

Golden Circle upgrades are available for FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2021 ticketholders. These upgrades for ticketholders provide front-row spots almost within arms reach of the AAA artists in an exclusive area in front of the stage, plus fast-track entry and dedicated beverage points – the ideal way to enjoy the excitement and atmosphere of the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. 4. A healthy and safe environment

The four-day showcase will take place with full capacity thanks to the organisers’ commitment to the highest standards of health and safety. Stringent precautionary measures will remain in place, including temperature checking, venue sanitization and mandatory wearing of face masks. 

Ticketholders aged 16 and above are required to present vaccination proof on their Al Hosn app along with a Green Pass, as well as a negative PCR result no more than 96 hours old. Concert-goers aged between 13 and 15 will need a 96-hour PCR test while no PCR test or proof of vaccination is needed for children aged 12 and under. Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21+. 

All ticketholders must also have their tickets scanned at Yas Marina Circuit over the race weekend to gain entry to the Yasalam After-Race Concerts, and everyone entering the Etihad Park venue will undergo thermal scanning. A first aid and Covid-19 testing point with dedicated quarantine room will be on site.

5. Just the ticket 

A wide range of tickets are available for access to the  Yasalam After-Race Concerts as part of the FORMULA ONE ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX, from single day tickets on Thursday, Friday and Saturday through to two-day and three-day passes. All single day tickets entitle guests to attend the Thursday night concert as well the concert on the night of their ticket, while two-day ticket holders will have access to the concerts on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Three-day ticket holders will have access to all four Yasalam After Race Concerts. 

Tickets for the capital’s favourite music festival can be bought via www.yasmarinacircuit.com, and doors open at Etihad Park at 5pm on Thursday and 6pm from Friday through to Sunday.

6. Warm up with best regional talent 

Line-ups are still being finalized but music fans can be assured they will be seeing the best regional acts on stage ahead of the first three headline acts at the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. Flash Entertainment’s Regional Artist Spotlight (RAS) provides a platform for aspiring Middle East artists to demonstrate their music skills, and Yasalam After-Race Concerts will give one of the region’s up and coming artists the chance to open for the headlining acts on each night from Thursday to Saturday, with the openers due onstage at 7.30pm each evening.
