Stirring up Abu Dhabi’s nightlife, In The Mix is the ultimate outdoor festival to hit the capital city this season with adrenaline-pumping activities for all ages and live performances by international DJs, local music bands and dance shows.
The festival is set to occur periodically throughout the year in the shape of block party events rotating across some of the biggest Abu Dhabi venues, under dedicated themes.
The inaugural event will last three days – 30th January to 1st February 2020 at Zayed Sports City, from 5PM to 2AM which for the occasion will be transformed into a “Fantasy World”.
Set against the glittering skyline of the UAE capital, In The Mix will bring on stage world-renowned DJs such as Thomas Gold (JAN 30), Deniz Koyu (JAN 31) and Wolfpack (FEB 1) who will spin their latest and hottest tracks, alongside live performances by local bands and dancing shows.
Female-fronted Dubai band Zero Funk, percussionist Daneel who made it to the finals of Arabs Got Talent, an alternative folk-rock band based in Dubai, famous artist Vandalye, DJ Terey, and dancers from Ginger Dance and Arts, will all bring their contagious positive energy to the stage with a mix of original unique sounds and the world’s biggest hits of Pop, House, Retro, Dance, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Hip-Hop.
“We felt there was an appetite for an outdoor experience in Abu Dhabi that intersects music, entertainment, fashion, and food,” said the organising team at Mass Events. “In The Mix is meant to bring communities across Abu Dhabi and the rest of the country together for a three-day open-air extravaganza that allows everyone to make the most of the outdoor season.”
The festival’s most-anticipated activities include a Smash Room pop-up experience for visitors to unleash their inner power, a VR gaming area, and even a flight simulator. Revellers will also be able to win exciting prizes with fun challenges such as the last person to remain on a mechanic Rodeo Bull or stand on a surf simulator.
A dedicated F&B area will also feature top local and international vendors serving mouth-watering dishes and various adult beverage options. With the urban festival also being a one-stop-shop for al fresco markets and a flurry of food stalls for revellers wanting to take a break from the entertainment line-up to dine and indulge in some retail therapy. In The Mix supports local artisans, businesses, retailers and F&B outlets and welcomes any queries from those wanting to be part of the pop-up-bazaar.
In The Mix is open to all ages. Tickets are priced at AED 50 for single-day entry and can be purchased via Platinum List. Competitive accommodation and transportation deals are also available.
